Michelle Sciortino, DVM
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Sciortino grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree at Iowa State University. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois. She worked at an Emergency clinic in central Illinois for a few years before moving to the Quad Cities to be at Furever Family Veterinary Care Center in 2020. Dr. Sciortino has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and animal behavior. She is Fear Free Certified and has spent lots of time volunteering at local animal shelters. She enjoys being able to appreciate and improve the human-animal bond through her work every day. Outside of the veterinary clinic, Dr. Sciortino often spends her free time jogging, biking, travelling, cleaning up after her muddy dogs, and trying to keep her various houseplants alive. She is the total package here at FFVCC – kind and compassionate, and extremely skilled and knowledgeable in medicine and surgery. She always makes the best decisions and is an asset here at Furever Family – she cuts open boxes the correct way, every time, and never EVER runs with scissors.
