Just like humans go to the doctor for an annual physical, your pets need a check-up to ensure they are happy, healthy, and living their best life. The stellar team at Furever Family Veterinary Care Center has dedicated years determining the best and most important care for every healthy adult dog and cat to receive each year (here are our guidelines for puppies and kittens under six months).
Every year, your adult dog or cat needs:
- Screening to ensure they are healthy, with no urgent concerns that may be lurking without visible symptoms. Here are the diagnostic tests we run annually.
- If we find your pet is experiencing discomfort or is ill, we will make recommendations and put together a robust treatment plan.
- Protection for the upcoming year. This includes vaccines and parasite prevention (did you know we can do this once a year so you don’t have to do anything between visits?).
Pick Your Plan
While every adult pet needs these things every year to be healthy, they don’t necessarily all need to be done in one appointment. To help determine the best approach for you and your pet, we ask this one simple question:
Is it more important to you to have less visits, or to have the payment spread out over the year?
For those with animals who hate going in the car, a single visit each year is best. For others whose pets love coming to our facility, it may make sense to spread their pet’s wellness visits over the year.
Whether you want 1, 2 or 3 visits a year, we can accommodate to make the wellness of your pet the priority it needs to be – in a way that fits your lifestyle and budget. Let your veterinarian know which is most important to you on your new client or returning client forms.
